Chmba founded Tiwale at 17 years-old to help end the vicious cycle of child marriage in Malawi. Tiwale is a community organization in Lilongwe, Malawi that gathers to create educational learning opportunities, STEM access, music tech, art skills, entrepreneurial education and other growth opportunities for women, girls and other marginalized identities to end child marriage and education inequality and injustice.
Tiwale has directly supported 384 women and girls and reached 22,000+ youth in campaigns. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Tiwale has distributed 26000+ masks made at their community center prioritizing low-income critical workers, educators, and students.
